Art4Brains
Art4Brains may be a funny name, at least we hope it is. We believe a sense of humor is an important factor in establishing rapport and opening channels of receptivity.

Art
We don’t make a lot of oil paintings, so what we really mean is art as content  and art as process.

artifact: objects produced or shaped by human craft, especially tools or ornaments. content
artful: skillful in accomplishing a purpose, especially by the use of cunning or craft. process

4Brains
Our “art” is for brains. While we endeavor to appeal to all appropriate organs,  we specifically target the human brain’s ability (conscious or subconscious)  to distinguish and appreciate really thoughtful content.

More Brains
Brains has a another meaning to us: machine brains.  Most of our “art” runs on machines, particularly thinking machines, aka computers. We really understand computers and strive to technically maximize what we can get them to do. (However, we do give them holidays on the birthdays of Alan Turing and John von Neumann, and are considering Charles Babbage and Vannevar Bush  as well).

Revolution
The entity Art4Brains is a virtual solar system of talent revolving around binary stars David Hartwell and Scott Palamar.

We were practicing the art of multimedia design and production long before the internet age [see bios below]. Over this time, we’ve nailed all aspects of the process, from the evaluation of needs through the delivery of final goods. We still use the term “multimedia” because we don’t define ourselves by the medium of delivery.  We are just as comfortable creating applications for the internet as we are for CD-ROM or VTR.  Someday, we hope to produce a final product on a napkin.

With the kind of education, experience, skill, and talent we possess,  we can look at our clients’ needs and suggest solutions unencumbered by, for instance, internet-centricity.  If the right medium is a napkin, we’ll suggest it.

You Have Messages
Despite what Marshall McLuhan wrote, the message is more than the medium.  More correctly, everything is message: typefaces, colors, shapes, sounds, text, images, logos,  navigation, structure, functionality...

Our approach is similarly all encompassing.  After considering our client’s intent, we can just as naturally design a logo that speaks to their need as we can write an appropriate java script.

Please peruse our “work” section–we think it will show you, rather than merely tell you of our skill and philosophy.
